The Process of Buying a Home in Chicago
The first step is deciding where you want to live. Chicago’s neighborhoods are quite diverse with each offering something special. Then you have to decide on what type of home you want: Chicago has everything from single family homes, condos, co-ops, lofts and multi-units.
As an experienced real estate broker, I know my buildings. During the entire process, from seeing the properties to negotiating and closing the deal, I will be with you every step of the way. Once a decision is made to purchase a particular property, one must consider the following:
- Are you pre-approved and / or pre-qualified?
- How much do you want to spend?
- What Loan To Value (LTV) ratio do you prefer?
- What is the purpose of an inspection and do the results of an inspection impact the offer? Who pays for the defects?
- When do you wish to close?
- How can the resale value be estimated?
These are just a few of the many things At which I am an expert! Everything from scheduling and showing properties, to negotiating offers, to having properties inspected, and seeing the whole process through attorney review to the final closing ate among the things I do best.
Real estate is my business – I bring buyers and sellers together.
